What trait Bill Gates values the most
I’ve started to get into a bad habit lately.
Of staying up unnecessarily late at night.
Only to regret it immensely when the AM alarm goes off.
First thing.
Feels like you’d do anything … pay any amount of money … to have gotten more sleep.
It’s not even doing anything exciting.
Checking this
Faffing around with that
Going down a rabbit hole on TikTok
Anyone else doing this a lot more atm?
Or is it just me 🤷♂️
And it’s not by much.
30-45 minutes I would estimate.
But when it happens consistently.
That lack of 30 mins good sleep makes a HUGE difference.

You know how alert & rejuvenated you feel after even just a 20-minute nap in the afternoon?
After the initial grogginess of course.
Your afternoon/evening feels like the morning again.
And you can just keep going.
So add that same 20 minutes into your nights’ sleep.
And you’d be winning.
I’m sure.

So my task is to try and cut that down.
It’s an easy win.
And that’s probably a good lesson to take from this email.
Look for the easy wins that make a big difference.
Bill Gates famously says that he prefers to hire lazy people.
Because they’ll look for the shortcuts.
The easy wins.
Without having to do too much work.

Have a good one 👊
