Almost set off the smoke alarm doing this
Didn’t opt for my regular breakfast this morning.
Went with something else.
I usually go for a straightforward protein porridge with various toppings.
And have been for years.
But today …
I went for a beef stir fry.
With an egg on top.
At 6 am.
I uploaded a picture of it on Instagram about an hour ago.
And already …
52 minutes after posting it.
I’m getting questions on it.
>> Why this …
>> How come that …
And to be honest with you.
I’d love to give a complex, scientific answer as to why I’ve gone for the beef & vegetables.
Protein & fat is better for neural focus in the morning.
Less of an insulin spike due to the vegetables.
etc.
But the reality.
Is that the veg was about to go out of date.
And I had the beef leftover from the other night.
So wanted to use it up before I head off to the gym.
The reasons were PURE practical.
And for the most part.
Most decisions about your fitness regime should be.
Practicality prevails.
-> Science is great
-> Theory is fantastic
-> Optimisation is awesome
But we don’t live in a theoretical world.
We live in reality.
And with that.
Consistent execution is king.
Practicality, my friend.
Base your diet & training around that.
And you can’t go too wrong.
Have a great day 💥
Harry
