How long does THIS take you??
It felt good doing some meal prep again last night.
Really good.
Did a super simple meat, potato & vegetable oven pot.
6 ingredients.
10 minutes to prep it all up.
And it cooked while I was in the bath 😂
So easy.
Which has my dinners until Thursday this week sorted.
And it felt like FOREVER since I last did that.
When in reality, it was only 2 weeks ago.

I used to think that you had to go BIG on meal prep.
Back when I first started all those years ago.
Because you see those photos of people’s meals on social media, don’t you?
10 glass Tupperware lined up.
A different protein source in each one.
Looks perfect. Each one like a work of art.
Literally.
Different vegetables.
Some raw. Some baked. Some steamed.
Quinoa, lentils, eggs, seeds.
Etc.
Basically EVERY single possible food group.
It must have taken them hours on hours to prepare.
5 different cooking pans/pots.
A huge fridge FULL of fresh fruit & vegetables.
Unrealistic to say the least.
>
And I fell into the trap of thinking that that was the ONLY way to do it.
Until I wised up a bit and realised that you DON’T need to overcomplicate it.
Eating the same meal for a few days in a row won’t kill you.
You don’t need to rotate your food choices every 5 hours.
You can do it weekly. In line with your weekly food shop.
Convenience should usually be your number 1 priority.
Rather than aiming for ‘optimal’.
Or whatever that even is.
>
So my Monday tip for you this January …
Keep it convenient.
😄
