More is sometimes better 😳
One of the best things I’ve done in the past year.
For my own training.
Is to train pretty much every day.
6x days a week.
With the rest day on Sunday.
E.g, instead of doing 4x sessions a week at 70 minutes a pop.
6 sessions at 45 minutes.
The added frequency, but less time training seems to work for me.
And it might do for you too.
Here are a few reasons:
-> Easier to make it part of your DAILY routine
When you’re training almost every day, you make it as routine as brushing your teeth.
I started the whole 6x sessions a week thing back in June when gyms opened back up.
Wanted to make up for lost time etc.
With them having closed for months.
And it stuck
-> Sessions seem easier
Short, sharp and sweet.
45-50 minutes, after warming up, prepping etc.
Means you can squeeze a training session into an hours’ slot.
Training less frequently probably increases the ‘dread’ feeling of each session.
-> Skip a session? It doesn’t matter as much
Because you’ve got 5x more to play around with.
Train 3x a week … miss a session … and that’s 33% of your weeks’ training volume out the window
It’s a numbers game.
-> More chances to stimulate
We know that VOLUME is the main driver of muscle growth.
So it’s the total work done over the week, which really matters.
BUT, training more frequently allows you to hit muscles more often.
You’ll be ‘fresher’ when you do hit them.
(As opposed to long, drawn-out training sessions)
And so the total volume for the week MAY end up being higher on 6x sessions at 45 minutes.
Rather than 4x sessions at 70 minutes.

Food for thought.
Have a great weekend 💯
