read this if you've ever been in a sauna before .. 🤭
Thought I’d debunk a common myth for you this morning.
The whole hot/cold thing.
Because I overheard someone talking about it yesterday ..
But first for a story.
Semi-related..
So I saw a bloke walking out of a coffee shop yesterday morning.
With an iced americano 🤯
I wonder what kind of reaction he got from the Barista when he ordered that.
I reckon he had to repeat himself at least twice.
I mean c’mon.
-4º outside.
You’re paying almost £4 for a normal coffee
(still can’t get my head around that btw .. seeing as it’s all margin anyway)
You’d get one to warm you up.
Surely?
Or maybe ..
This guy was onto something.
Going against the crowd.
The coffee version of doing an ice bath.
Who knows.
All I know is that his coffee would have stayed chilly for a while 😂
>>
Back to the cold thing ..
You burn MORE energy when it’s colder outside.
Rather than hotter
So when people get in the steam room/sauna.
Claiming that it helps to burn more calories ..
Nahhhhhh
Doesn’t work like that.
Head out in the cold instead.
You burn more calories that way.
My doggie is more hungry in the winter months when it’s cold outside.
Then she is in summer when it’s hot.
Adios 👋👋
