Revealed: The best time to consume your protein shake 💥
Just finished up one of my clients’ first sessions of the year.
While we were talking about diet strategies during rest periods.
Usual stuff.
What calories we’ll be aiming for.
How we’ll managing weekends.
Etc.
And meal timing popped up.
When is the best time for X?
When should I have Y?
And … honestly?
It does not matter the slightest bit.
It’s your overall intake that counts.

The overcomplicated crew will tell you otherwise.
They’ll say that nutrient timing is essential to OPTIMISE.
(They love that word)
Your body.
And you want to be eating this during the morning.
That during the afternoon.
And this type of protein: carbohydrate combination 35 minutes after you finish your last set on the gym floor.
And …
By the way.
That might actually all be true.
When we’re talking about optimising.
It might yield you a +0.005% benefit.
But you need to ask yourself.
Is the effort worth it?
Stressing out over food timing to get a TINY benefit?
Nope 😅
You’re far better off consuming your food whenever suits you best.
Personal preference.

Because adherence is the number #1 aspect you want to deliver on.
And what helps with that?
Making your diet as EASY for you to follow as possible.
So you can actually follow it.
Rather than stressing out about when you’ll have your 100kcal banana 😂
