So .. I'm going to do my first cycle đą
Someone asked me this morning if Iâd ever jump on steroids.
(Standard chat in the PT staff room at ANY gym btw)
đ
For me now?
Nope.
Not even tempted.
Honestly ..
I donât see why so many guys do it.
(Youâd be shocked at how many actually take âsomethingâ ..
Itâs less for women, but some still do)
Who arenât professional IFBB bodybuilders
(I can see the justification for those guys ..
.. but 24 y/o Joe Schmo training 3x at PureGym in Sheffield ..
naaahhhh)
Fast forward 20 years.
Iâm 50 years old & have low testosterone ..
Negatively affecting my quality of life.
Iâd probably jump on TRT to bring those levels back to normal.
Legally of course
Doctor supervised etc
Sure.
Why now.
But right now?
No way.
>>
The main reason why?
I honestly donât think having 5kg - 10kg more muscle on me would make my life that much better
Iâd be able to bench press a lot more
Have a more impressive physique
Recover faster
But Iâm actually OK with where I am now.
Believe it or not.
Iâm actually not thaaaat vain to care about my physical appearance past the point it is now.
It wouldnât be a good trade.
Because thereâs a lot of downside.
With not too much upside.

Past a certain stage, you get diminishing returns on being in better shape.
25% -> 15% body fat
You see a big lifestyle benefit
15% -> 5% body fat
Not so much. Probably goes the other way actually
Which is why after youâve got yourself in great shape.
You need to start loving training as a lifestyle
Enjoy going
Setting strength/performance goals
And enjoying the ride.
Rather than seeing it as a means to an end.
