The dark art of losing body fat 🤑😈
I come up with my best lessons/quotes when I’m not even trying.
Randomly having a conversation with someone.
Sometimes (mostly actually) not even fitness related.
Then boom.
I accidentally & inadvertently come out with a golden nugget.
Which solves the alcohol vs getting in shape conundrum once and for all.
😂
My clients do exactly the same.
While we’re talking in our rest periods.
Here’s one from yesterday.
Talking about fat loss with one of my new clients
“At least I now know it’s not a dark art/luck - it’s about accountability and detail”
Wow.
I love this.
It’s so bang on the money.
Unless you have 1 in 50,000,000 body composition genetics.
Like those people, you see aged 15 who have the muscle mass of a highly trained 30-year-old.
Getting in shape requires accountability, detail & consistency.
Those are the main ingredients.
Not:
-> Taking a fat burner before your training sessions
-> Deciding to ‘try’ Intermittent Fasting for 3 days during the week before bingeing on the weekend
-> Skipping / shadowboxing boxing in-between your sets of barbell deadlifts
You get the idea.
There will, however.
Be people who do all those things (skipping, fat burners etc)
Who are in INCREDIBLE shape.
But they are IN SPITE of doing all that rubbish.
Rather than BECAUSE of it.

It’s a bit like money.
Sure.
There are some people out there who get lucky & make a lot of money.
Quickly with little / no effort.
-> Lottery winners
-> People who inherit a big estate
-> Boomers who bought houses in London in the early 90s
But these are the outliers.
Most of us will have to work hard for our money.
And it’s exactly the same with body composition.
Peace out ✌️✌️
Harry
