The training equivalent of FRESH bedsheets 🤩
First sessions back at the Piccadilly gym this morning.
Post refurb.
In the pouring rain.
Of course. Happy NY 🤪
It’s almost all complete.
But already a nice improvement from before.
Mainly cosmetic ..
New machines ..
And a reshuffle of layout ..
But just that feeling of ‘new stuff’ is nice .. isn’t it?
It’s all similar stuff though.
Barbells
Dumbells
Machines
Cables
Mirrors 😂
Because you don’t need anything different or fancy to train hard.
In fact.
The opposite is true.
Don’t feel like you need to change your routine massively in January.
To try and ‘burn some of the holiday fat’ ..
It doesn’t work like that.
I’ve already seen some ‘funky’ routines/exercises in the gym this morning ..
You don’t need it.
You’re in the gym to train your muscles, hard & efficiently
And you create your energy deficit by not stuffing your face with crap.
/ drinking alcohol

Because it actually is.

Ease back into it.
Don’t try to do too much in this first week.
Zoom out and look at the next 3, 6, 9 months.
Rather than a few days at a time.
