This may surprise you ...
I haven’t logged any of my food on Myfitnesspal in well over 6 months.
I actually think I’ve forgotten my password …
So wouldn’t be able to log in anyway.
Haven’t weighed anything either.
(Despite buying brand new, shiny Salter scales recently)
They’ve sat in my kitchen drawer collecting dust.
There have probably been days in those 6 months where I haven’t hit my protein target.
-> Days where I’ve not eaten enough.
-> Some, where I’ve eaten too much.
-> Days where I’ve probably not hit my fibre target (not enough fruit/veg)
-> Some, where I’ve gone way over (too much fruit/veg)
Because when you’re doing this long term.
You have to accept these things.
You can’t be perfect long term.
Short term - it’s possible.
You COULD nail a 7-day plan with ZERO hiccups if you really wanted to.
-> Lock yourself away
-> Meal prep your whole week
-> It’s only 168 hours, so you can focus
Can’t say the same for a 7-month plan.
-> Over 4,500 hours to manage
-> Meals out, events, parties
-> You name it. It’ll probably happen in that time frame.

Zooming out even more.
Looking at a 365-day view.
Being on track 80% of the time.
(A good result, by anyone’s standards)
Still results in almost 75 “off” days.
That’s 2 solid months of NOT being on it.
… See what I mean?
You don’t NEED to be 100% on it the whole time to see change.
Just ‘enough’.
