What lasts longer: Liz Truss' press conference or your fat loss efforts?
There are a select few times a year when you WON’T have anything on.
Life blind spots, if you want to call them that.
No holidays coming up.
No Christmas or Easter.
No Bank Holidays.
No major distractions, basically.
And obviously …
(You know what I’m going to say here)
These are the periods you want to capitalise on, fat loss/body composition-wise.
Makes total sense too.
>
Usually, these periods last a matter of weeks.
A month or two at most.
No more than that, as something usually pops up in the calendar.
And just off the top of my head.
Second half of January / early February is one.
And *October* is another.
>
And now I mention it …
I realise I’ve been saying this a lot to clients recently.
Or something similar 😅
“Knuckle down and put the work in now … Because come November / December, when Christmas party season starts … our fat loss priority will disappear faster than Liz Truss at a press conference”
Here’s what you do:
>> Take advantage of the lighter evenings to hit more steps.
>> Aim to make it to the gym an extra +1 session than your usual.
>> Don’t do what everyone else does and skip their AM gym session when it’s raining outside.
>> Tidy up your tracking on Myfitnesspal. Making sure you’re *actually* hitting your target, rather than ‘sort of’ doing it.
>> Stay in more on the weekends. (An absolute KEY). You can make up for it in December. Nights out aren’t going anywhere and prohibition isn’t coming back.
>> Train to build muscle. Use diet control to lose fat.
You’ll be glad you did 🙏
Have a good one
Harry
