Why I don't sell on email anymore
As you’ve probably noticed.
I ‘sell’ a lot less on these emails these days.
Compared to when I used to write them in ’20 & ’21.
(Whenever I look back at my June 2020 ones … it's hard selling to the max 😅)
Of course, there’s the occasional one in there.
But for the most part.
I don’t.
Because I just don’t need to.
(Not a brag or anything BTW)
Nor do I really want to either tbh.
>
And I actually write them now because I genuinely ENJOY writing them.
Sounds ridiculous.
But there is something therapeutic about sitting down at your laptop before everyone else has woken up.
Dark outside.
No noise.
Typing whatever you feel like doing.
Hitting send.
Then interacting with people along the way who reply to them.
It’s nice.
And I guess you can draw parallels to weight training.
>
You usually don’t start hitting the gym because you enjoy it.
Let’s be honest.
How could you enjoy something you haven’t done for months, years …
Or even something you haven’t built up enough skill in.
(The musical instrument analogy comes to mind … you can’t enjoy it when you start, because you haven’t learnt the skill yet)
You start because there’s an outcome you want to get to.
And training is a part of that journey.
And with any luck, you fast forward a few years.
And you’re no longer motivated by the end result as much.
But more than that you just ENJOY training.
>
See what I mean?
I hope so 😂
Have a good one.
