Don't read the news today
I think around this time last year.
I was writing emails about negative Covid news.
How you should try to avoid it, read about something else.
Basically, try not to absorb yourself in it.
Because that doom & gloom rubs off on you.
Consciously and subconsciously.
Leaving you not feeling great.
Not wanting to eat well.
Not wanting to exercise.
Not wanting to be productive, tick things off your lists etc.
This year? Today?
Has anything changed…?!
Probably wise to give out the same advice.
One problem replaced with another.
I’ve just spent 10 mins having a good read through BBC re the Ukraine situation.
And yea … more doom & gloom.
Next month it’ll be something else.
The following month yet another crisis.
>
The nature of it is never-ending.
And in a funny sort of way.
We can take comfort in that.
Because it should, in theory, carry less weight if we know it’s the norm.
It takes the sting out of it.
And gives you confidence in knowing that there is usually no “best time” to start.
Or a completely uninterrupted 12-week block for you to get your act together.
There’s always something that pops up.
( … the best time to start is probably today 😂)
Have a good one.
Harry
