Go with the flow ... srsly 😎
So chatting with a client yesterday before our session.
And we came to the conclusion that around this time of year.
It’s difficult / sometimes impossible to get your usual consistency in.
It just doesn’t happen.
“Silly season”
As some like to call it.
You might have something on every day which throws you out of whack with your diet.
Or something every other day.
Or maybe not much during the week.
But then weekends are jam-packed.
>
So what do you do?
You still want to keep 1 hand on the steering wheel.
And not completely go off the rails.
But you also don’t want to be a total killjoy and cancel all your plans.
Plus - this time of year is good fun.
So here’s what you do:
Accept the fact you’ll just have good days & bad days.
And the pendulum might swing quite a fair bit.
The days you’ve got something on …
-> You might not find time to train
-> You’ll consume far more calories than normal
-> You’ll drink far more than normal
-> You’ll sleep less (and worse) than normal
-> You’ll probably do less steps too
So all in all, not a typical day.
But if you don’t have anything planned for the next.
Just try and do the opposite of all that …
-> Get to the gym
-> Consume a low amount of calories (should be easy after yesterday)
-> Don’t drink
-> Go to bed early
-> Hit some more steps at lunch
Basically, just roll with it.
Because what’s the alternative …? 🤪
Have a good one.
Harry
