Have I swapped gym for the pub ...?
I’m itching to get back into my own training on Monday.
Cannot wait.
Don’t know how other people do it.
(not train)
Because this is definitely the longest time (in several years) I haven’t trained at all.
Usually, I do the whole “deload” thing.
Reduce the sets/volume etc.
But not doing anything at all has been strange.
>
And I’m finding …
That when I don’t train.
My dietary choices aren’t as good.
They’re 80% of what they usually are.
Don’t get me wrong.
I’m not smashing doughnuts for breakfast.
Having KFC for dinner.
And spending Thursday lunchtimes drawing my sorrows at the pub.
(Not last week anyway 😂)
But I'm just not as conscious of my choices.
Probably do a bit less protein than usual
Not as much fruit
Definitely not as much veg
Regular training & good dietary habits go hand in hand.
Might sound obvious.
But there are people out there who wonder why they struggle to nail their nutrition.
(I know because I speak to them a lot)
Thinking they need to do IF / Keto / Paleo.
/ some out-of-the-box dietary intervention.
Who have never done any proper resistance training.
Don’t even know how to lift weights.
And their last spell of consistent exercise (running) was in 2015.
So if you’re able-bodied.
And can train.
Do it - and your diet will likely follow.
Have a good weekend 🥳
Harry
