I flaked out on this one
I told myself a few weeks back that I’d do a mini diet on April 1st.
A 4-week thing to lose some body fat.
Pre summer shred.
That kinda thing.
… yup it didn’t happen.
I 50% forgot.
50% didn’t really feel like doing it.
I’m going to blame the non-spring like weather we’ve had the last couple of weeks.

And usually, I’m more of a “do it, even if you don’t feel like doing it” person.
But on this occasion.
I just didn’t feel the need to put that pressure on.
Do I really NEED to do a mini diet?
Not really. I wouldn’t say my body fat accumulation has spiralled out of control & it’s affecting me.
Should you zoom out and look at CONTEXT when deciding whether to start a diet?
A bit, yeah. There never is THE perfect time to do anything. But there are plenty of BAD times. I just didn’t feel like the timing was right.
Is my decision set in stone?
Nope. Could decide to start tracking on Myfitnesspal the moment I hit send on this email 😂
People change their minds all the time & it’s SOMETIMES okay to do that too.
Am I putting off doing this because it’s DIFFICULT??
Probably. It’s nice eating 4,000kcal a day & not tracking on Myfitnesspal. Going down to 2,500kcal & tracking takes ‘some’ of the joy out of the day-to-day grind.

My 2 cents.
Have a great Monday.
