Thought I’d start these up again now I’ve got a bit more time on my hands.

Fired the laptop up.
For what feels like months ago since it was last turned on.
And will tell you what I’m up to before we resume real life again on 3rd Jan.

So, as I’m typing this.
I’m already on my 2nd coffee of the day.
And also about my 2nd litre of water.
I feel totally dehydrated.
Not sure about you.
But when I’m sat around watching films over Christmas.
Drinking alcohol.
Eating delicious (but not diet-friendly) food.
Chatting away to family.
My water consumption hits the deck.
Because where do you find room or time for it …? 😂
Seriously.
Usually, I have zero problems with drinking 3-4 litres a day.
But this time of the year …

You’ve only got 2 hands, right?
1 is holding a glass of champagne.
Almost constantly.
So that’s taken.
The other was
A) either stroking one of the dogs.
Who was luckily enough to be sat nearby
B) flicking through what to watch on telly.
Or
C) munching away on a marzipan-filled Medjool date … dipped in chocolate.
Or something similar.
You get the idea.
No free hands for water I’m afraid.
I managed a couple of glasses at either end of the day.
But other than that …
Slim pickings.
So the next few days I’m trying to go for it.

The second thing on my mind.
Now that it’s finally stopped raining …
(Only boxing day could pass as a ‘good’ weather day)
I’m trying to walk more.
-> Of course I’m also back in the gym
-> Trying to consume more fruit/veg
-> Slowly phasing the alcohol out. Or at the very least delaying when I start drinking it till later on in the day
-> And consuming a bit more protein than I have been doing
But you’ve got to take it 1 step at a time.
Will elaborate more tomorrow.
